Matthew Kiernan

Matthew earned his Doctorate degree from Seton Hall University. He has interned in a variety of settings including the VA Hospital on the Spinal cord unit working with veterans with MS, ALS, and SCI as well as various outpatient orthopedic settings. Matt is committed to research and using evidenced base practice to best treat his patients. He has presented his research "Does smart phone use change gait parameters in healthy young adults" at the ATPA's New Jersey Spring Conference.

*He is certified in kinesio taping and instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization.*

Matt likes to use specific exercise prescription and hands on treatment to address his patient's limitations and help them optimize their ability to achieve their goals. Matthew has competed in martial arts for most of his life achieving his 4th degree black belt in Taekwondo. Matt has taught karate for several years impacting hundreds of students. In Matt's free time he enjoys spending time with friends and family down the shore, Chinese yo-yoing, and exercising. He finds fulfillment teaching others optimal bio-mechanics when strengthening. He is committed to helping others and earned a national presidential service award from Barack Obama for his devoted community service specifically in the health and medical field.
